NOTICE: We have moved! Our new location is 158 Manitoba Street, Bracebridge (located in the Aspire Speech building). We look forward to supporting you at our new location

Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I hold an advanced diploma (Humber Polytechnic) and an Undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care (Toronto Metropolitan University), as well as a Masters and PhD in Adult Education and Community Development (University of Toronto-OISE).

I have over 25 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families through their biggest challenges, which have included anxiety, parent-child relationship challenges, mood difficulties, grief, trauma, loss, emotional dysregulation, and other mental health and interpersonal challenges. I have done this in community settings, live in treatment centres, schools, hospital programs, and private practice.

My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed and gender-affirming lens, with a strong emphasis on relational safety and collaboration. I approach therapy as an evolving practice and value ongoing learning to remain responsive to the people I work with. I regularly engage in training and supervision to integrate approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Strengths-Based work in ways that fit each individual’s needs. Whether you are working through relational challenges, making sense of earlier experiences, or building skills to navigate stress and life transitions, I aim to offer a thoughtful, grounded, and supportive space where growth can happen at your pace.

Hello! My name is Stefanie, and I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) in good standing. I have been working in the field for over 10 years and have experience providing support to individuals and families with physical health concerns such as the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness or receiving palliative and end of life care. I have also provided extensive support to individuals who have experienced the traumatic death of a significant person, or whose grief journey manifests with complex symptoms and experiences.

Through my work in the field of grief and bereavement, I witnessed firsthand how obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) made grief even more difficult to manage, and how this mental health condition can be debilitating for individuals experiencing it. This led me to pursue intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy for OCD. ERP is the first-line treatment for OCD and has many research studies supporting its effectiveness in helping individuals manage the symptoms of OCD.1 I am passionate about helping individuals take back control of their life from OCD and move towards a life driven by what is most important to them.

My name is Nicole and I am registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto with a focus on Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology as well as diplomas in Addictions Counselling and Children’s Mental Health. I have been working in this field for over six years with experience in housing and food supports, addictions, and working with youth beginning at age 7 up to the age of 25. I have been working within the addictions sphere for the last year and a half and am looking to expand into private practice in order to support as many people as I can. With all my clients I try to ensure that I am approaching everything from a trauma informed lens as well as working towards clients discovering their inner resiliency and strength. I believe that therapy is not here to “fix” us, but instead is here to help us understand ourselves better and how we can be the best version of ourselves at this current moment. I hope that we will be able to work together to create a plan that helps you feel the best you can.
